Question 1

What is Chinese destiny reading (命理)?

Accepted Answer

Chinese destiny reading (命理, Mínglǐ) encompasses a group of traditional Chinese metaphysical practices used to analyze a person's life path, personality, and fortune. The major systems include Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny), Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology), and various divination methods like Liu Yao (Six Lines I Ching). These practices are rooted in Chinese cosmology, the I Ching, the Five Elements theory, and Yin-Yang philosophy.

Question 2

Which Chinese destiny reading method should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Choose based on your goal: Bazi (Four Pillars) is ideal for understanding your core personality, life patterns, and long-term destiny based on birth data. Zi Wei Dou Shu provides the most detailed life map with 12 palaces covering all aspects of life. Liu Yao is best for specific questions requiring a detailed six-line analysis. Mei Hua Yi Shu (Plum Flower) answers a single question fastest — it needs no coins, only the moment or two numbers — and shows the beginning, middle and end of the matter. Qi Men Dun Jia adds the where and the when: it casts an hour into a nine-palace board to name the favourable direction and the workable moment for a concrete decision. Dream interpretation helps you understand subconscious messages. Many practitioners use multiple methods together for a complete picture.

Question 3

Are Chinese metaphysical readings accurate?

Accepted Answer

Traditional Chinese metaphysical systems have been refined over thousands of years and offer sophisticated frameworks for self-understanding and decision-making. Their accuracy depends on the quality of the interpretive system and practitioner expertise. Our tools are based on classical texts and authentic methodologies. Many users find them valuable for self-reflection, identifying patterns, and gaining perspective on life situations.
